- Back strength.
The PowerBlock dumbbell row is a great exercise for building upper body pulling strength. Supporting yourself with the bench takes some of the strain off of your lower back. The uneven loading of this exercise also helps to develop your core.
- Grab a dumbbell in one hand and support the opposite side of your body on a bench so your torso is parallel to the ground.
- Start with your arm extended and pull the dumbbell up to your body.
- Lower the weight back to the starting position.
- Bad posture.
- Using your body to cheat.
