The towel stretch increases mobility in the shoulder girdle. This exercise helps preserve range of motion in the shoulders. Perform the towel stretch after bench presses or shoulder exercise.
- Standing, hold a small rolled towel behind you with one hand over the shoulders and the other behind the back
- Gently pull with the top hand, then with the bottom hand
- Dropping the top elbow forward
- Pulling too hard
